So, I'm 38 weeks pregnant, and fit to burst. I mean I'm freakin' huge and I can't wait to get my body to myself again. Things hurt that I never thought could hurt. I'm still working, but I'm not sure how long that will last if I don't have this baby soon. If she gets much bigger, I may not be able to get her out. I really am excited to meet Kira though. I want to know what she looks like. She's been moving around a lot today. I hope that means she's ready to go.

So, I had another doctor's appointment today. We got some new pictures of the baby (really neat 3D ones) and some news from the doc. Apparently, I failed my one-hour glucose test (to see if I have gestational diabetes), but she said that a lot of people fail the first one and it's not anything to be worried about yet. But, I have to go back in next Wednesday at 7am to take the 3-hour glucose test, which means sitting in the lab at the hospital for four hours and they'll draw my blood three times during this little visit.

I'm really frustrated with myself because I shouldn't have to do this. I was only 13 points over the upper limit, and if I hadn't had MMs and soda the night before I would probably be fine. I just wasn't thinking ahead of time. I went on a cleaning frenzy when I got home to try to blow off some steam, but I'm still irked with myself.

But, nothing to do about it now except pay more attention and take the damned test again. I know I'm fine and I really don't want to have to deal with glucometers for the next two and a half months or so. I've got enough going on without having to remember that crap.

Other than that, though, everything with the baby is fine. No disabilities or diseases, no more uterine sinichea (it went away), she weighs about 2lbs 10oz and her head is a good size. Over all, it was a happy day, and I didn't even have to go to work. Hooray!

Family gets bigger by 2

So, on Tuesday I got my first nephew, Korbin, and my second niece, Lana, arrived on Thursday morning. They are both precious and just the cutest things you've ever seen, though I suppose every aunt will say that. Korbin is a bit jaundice and had been in the hospital for a few extra days, but it's nothing serious, and he went home on Saturday night.

I am having some baby flutters of my own. She tends to get a bit fidgity around 7 or 8 at night, right around dinner. It is a bit strange, but I'm getting used to it. My main focus right now though is to get the wedding stuff done and taken care of first before I start worrying too much about baby things. I have a ton of people who are worrying about all of that enough for me, so I'm in no hurry and I have plenty of help and support when I need it. I finally got my MaineCare package in, though, so taking care of that soon will help relieve my stress level a lot. I'm just taking it one day at a time.

So, the latest news is that we are having a girl! We havn't had a real talk about names yet, but we'll get right on that and let you know what we decide. We are excited, but I'm still in a daze about the whole thing. I think once I feel her start moving it'll feel more real. Other than that, nothing new really. Mage is going to take a bit of a nosedive without Josh in the captain's chair, but hopefully it will be carried on by someone worthy of the rockin'-ness that was last year's story. Here's to hoping.

LJ kept crashing my browser evertime i tried to update, so this is my first entry in a very long time. Quick update: I'm 16 weeks pregnant and no news yet from Mainecare, finances are going well but I'm still waiting to hear back from the courts about the house, my job is a pain but it gets the bills paid, I'm worried sick about my future but I know that as long as Pat is with me I'll be ok, and plans for the wedding are coming along slowly but surely. I think that covers all the major stuff...oh, and I also got a Wii! It's friggin awesome.

A solid mixture of good and not so good, but such is life. I can't wait to meet my new nephew, second neice, Pat's first neice, and, of course, my goddaughter. Here comes April! My own will have to wait until August. On a related not, Pat is abolutely amazing about this whole thing. He want's to be involved and to really know what's going on. I can't praise him enough about how great he's been. And we're already getting presents from his parents.

Things are good as a whole, I guess. I know I want to go to school someday, but I know it won't be for a few years, and that at least gives me time to figure out where I want to go and what for. That's all for now, I suppose, but there is always more on the horizon.

Another week, another woe

So, I am totally and completely ready to not have to deal with that stupid house any more. All I want is to have it signed and over and done with. I keep wondering to myself when I'm going to be able to stop cleaning up after Sean. I would have preferred that day to have been six months ago, but to be so fortunate, I was not. I'm planning on stopping in on him sometime soon, hopefully this week, to find out exactly what he's been up to and what he has planned, if anything (which I seriously doubt). But, one can only hope, right?

I am excited that my wedding is now less than a year away. I even added a countdown timer to my Myspace page. It is going to be great, if I can wait that long. I really don't want to invite my stupid, bible-thumping, nit wit of a brother, but my Mom says I kinda have to. But I just know that he will tell my father about it, and then he will make an unscheduled appearance, which won't be hard seeing as how it is going to be across the street from his house. But, again, one can only hope that that will not happen, and that my Mother may overlook the fact that my brother did not show up.

Games are great, games are good, games sustain me more than food. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't play games at least once a month. Thankfully, I have friends that wouldn't let it go that long without at least one game. Ah, the glory and wonderfulness of table-top. Granted, the CAM is great and all, but there's just something about a good table-top game that I can't describe, and there's nothing else in the world like it. There's no rules or restrictions, besides what your GM says is law, no petty arguing between rival cam members, no worries about who has approval for what, no need for a place to play besides someones kitchen table... I just love a good paper and pencil game, I guess is what I'm trying to say. That's all.
